Kyon and Haruhi go outside to search for Yutaka, who they believe to be a suspect to be Keiichi's murderer. After some near-death events, Haruhi eventually deduces that the "murder" was a hoax that Itsuki and the others came up with, secretly to prevent Haruhi's power from causing a real murder.
